Bloxham Village Gardening Club Program for 2006

January - flora and forna of Kazakhstan.
On Monday 28th January 2008 at 8.00 pm - Our much travelled Chairman Peter Sheasby talked to us about the flora and forna of Kazakhstan.
February - Gardening for Wildlife.
On Monday 25th February 2008 at 8.00 pm - Mr D Hobbs of the RSPB will talk to us about Gardening for Wildlife.
March - Gardens of France.
On Monday 31st March 2008 at 8.00 pm - Duncan Coombs will give us a talk on "The Gardens of France - Bagatelle and Giverney".April - Plant Association and Colour.
On Monday 28th April 2008 at 8.00 pm - Roger Smith will be talking to us on the subject of "Plant Association and Colour." May - Bloxham Village Gardening Club Annual Plant Sale.
Our annual plant sale takes place once again in the garden of No. 7 Courtington Lane, Bloxham on Sunday 18th May at 3.00pm.Refreshments will be available for a small fee with all monies collected going towards the running of the club.
Anyone donating plants is asked to bring them to the above address by midday of the 17th in order for them to be priced and laid out.
Please support this event and bring along your friends, neighbours and the sunshine, the more the merrier !!!
June - Private evening Visit.
On Monday 23rd June 2008 there is a trip to Tile House Plants near FinmereThey are a supplier of Hardy Perennials and Cottage Garden Plants and I have arranged a 10% discount for our members who wish to purchase plants.
There will be refreshments available for a small fee of £2.00
As usual we meet at the Elephant and Castle at 6.30pm to arrive at the garden at 7.00pm and transportation will to be arranged for those who have no car.
July - Private evening Garden Visit.
On Monday 21st July 2008 there is a trip to Fiveways Cottage in Shutford.The entrace fee is two pounds and fifty pence includes a cup of home made fruit punch and all monies go to Katherine House as they are not in the NGS.
As usual we meet at the Elephant and Castle at 6.45pm to arrive at the garden at 7.00pm and transportation will to be arranged for those who have no car.
August - No meeting or trip as yet !!! Whatch this space !!!!.
September - The Fragrant Garden.
On Monday 22nd September 2008 at 8.00 pm- We are looking forward to Howard Drury talking to us about "The Fragrant Garden".October - The Garden Year.
On Monday 27th October 2008 at 8.00pm - Mr Malcolm Brownsword will talk to us about "The Garden Year."
November - Bloxham Village Gardening Club AGM
On Monday 24th November 2008 at 8.00pm, the clubs AGM will take place followed by some early Christmas cheer supplied by the club and food provided by the members and there will also be a raffle to enhance the Christmas feeling.Have a great time and don't forget to circulate and get to know each other. See you all next year !!
December - No meeting
There is no meeting as such this month but I will keep you posted if there is anything in the pipeline.Happy Christmas from all the committee and see you at our January 2009 meeting.
