Bloxham Village Gardening Club Program for 2009

On Monday 26th January 2009 at 8.00 pm - Our much travelled Chairman Peter Sheasby talked to us about the flora and forna of Canada.
February - My Gardens.
On Monday 23rd February 2009 at 8.00 pm - Roger Turner will show us his gardens.
March - Natinal Plant Collections.
On Monday 23rd March 2009 at 8.00 pm - A talk by Roger Smith.April - Cottage Gardens
On Monday 27th April 2009 at 8.00 pm - The very popular spaeker Janet Ctopley returns.17th May 2009 - Bloxham Village Gardening Club Annual Plant Sale.
Our annual plant sale takes place at ‘Crossways’, Merrivales Lane, Bloxham on Sunday th May at 3.00pm.Refreshments will be available for a small fee with all monies collected going towards the running of the club.
Anyone donating plants is asked to bring them to the above address by midday of the 17th in order for them to be priced and laid out.
Please support this event and bring along your friends, neighbours and the sunshine, the more the merrier !!!
June - Summer Outing
On Monday 1st June 2009 A visit to the Old Rectory, Mixbury Nr Brackley. This is a very varied garden designed by the owner who is a garden designer. The cost of entry will be £4.00.
June - Summer Outing
On Tuesday 30th June 2009 A visit to the garden at Swalcliffe Lea House, Swalcliffe, Nr Banbury is planned.This is a matured terraced garden as described in the NGS yellow book. The cost of entry is £2.50 + £1.50 for tea and cakes (if required).
July - Summer Outing
On Monday 20th July 2009 A visit to the garden at Tadmarton Manor, Tadmart, Nr Banbury is plannesAn old established 2.5 acre garden as described in the NGS yellow book. The cost of entry is £2.50.
Outings Please Note
All the outings start from the Elephant & Castle at 6.30pm and all travel is by members cars.Cars to be shared where possible to reduce parking at the gardens.
Please bring the required money with you as for collection before we set off and maps plus directions will be available at the start.
Please support these outings if you can, we should be able to muster at least 15 but the more the merrier and fell free to bring a friend or your nearest and dearest.

On Monday 28th September 2009 at 8.00 pm - A talk by Duncan CoombsOctober - The dry garden
On Monday26th October 2009 at 8.00pm - Howard Drury will be speaking to us.
November - Bloxham Village Gardening Club AGM
On Monday23rd November 2009 at 8.00pm, the clubs AGM will take place followed by some early Christmas cheer supplied by the club and food provided by the members and there will also be a raffle to enhance the Christmas feeling.Have a great time and don't forget to circulate and get to know each other. See you all next year !!
