Welcome to Bloxham Village History ClubAbout the Bloxham area
Bloxham is a pretty village situated three miles southwest of the market town of Banbury. It nestles in the North Oxfordshire countryside, bordering the Cotswolds, and is about 8 miles from Chipping Norton and 25 miles north of the historic university city of Oxford.Within the village there is a supermarket and several small shops, one of which contains the local post office. It has three schools including a primary, secondary and a mixed boarding school. The old part of Bloxham village has many winding lanes and has been designated as a conservation area. It is easy to reach by car being halfway between London and Birmingham, both being about one hour and fortyfive minutes away via the M40. The A361 runs through the village and is one of the main routes to the heart of the Cotswolds.
Banbury railway station is only 4 miles away with regular trains to all parts of the country. There is a bus service from Banbury to Chipping Norton passes through the village every hour.
